LASIK

PRK

Photorefractive Keratectomy or PRK is a similar procedure compared to LASIK except that in PRK a flap is not created.  In PRK the outer epithelium is removed and an advanced laser reshapes the surface of the cornea.  PRK can be used to correct for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism and is a great option for individuals with thin or irregular corneas.  Although the healing time is a tad longer than with LASIK, the visual results are just the same.
