Premium Lenses That Fit Any Lifestyle

Vision troubles aren’t something you have to live with, even in your later years.  It’s true: everyone will eventually develop cataracts.  It’s part of the natural aging process of the eye.  However, with modern cataract surgery, not only can your vision improve, but with proper lens implant technology your dependence on glasses can be reduced or eliminated after surgery.

Cataract Surgery

Do you or someone you know suspect cataracts?
More than half of all Americans will have had a cataract by the time they turn 80.  A cataract is diagnosed when there is a clouding or discoloration of the natural lens of the eye.  This clouding of your lens leads to cloudy, blurry vision, and if left untreated, gradual vision loss.

Cataract surgery is the only way to permanently correct the problem, by removing the cloudy natural lens and replacing it with a clear, artificial lens.  Modern cataract surgery is one of the most often performed and successful procedures in the U.S.  Recovery is fast, and vision greatly improved.

Lifestyle Lenses

Traditional cataract surgery is performed with a monofocal Intraocular Lens, IOL, that only corrects your vision at one focal distance. This means you will still have to wear glasses to see clearly at all distances.

However, some of the most recent advances in eye care have been the development of several types of ‘Premium IOLs’ that may restore a full range of vision to patients post cataract surgery.

Called ‘lifestyle lenses’ because they are customized to suit your visual lifestyle, these lenses represent the latest in eye care technology, and could be your solution to a lifetime without glasses!
The lenses offered at Victoria Eye Center include:

Restor Multifocal Intraocular Lens
This premium lens is designed with several viewing ‘zones,’ so it function much like a bifocal in a pair of glasses.  This a great all –around lens that can restore the widest range of vision possible.  Learn more

Toric Intraocular Lens
A Toric IOL is designed specifically for the correction of astigmatism.  Astigmatism is the result of an irregular shaped cornea, and the Toric IOL is engineered to counteract this imbalance and eliminate any astigmatism that existed prior to your procedure. Learn more.

Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)

Refractive Lens Exchange is essentially the same exact procedure as cataract surgery, but it can be performed before a cataract is detected.  The natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with one of our custom lifestyle lenses, designed to restore a full range of vision, and could leave you glasses independent.  Plus, you’ll never develop cataracts! Learn more
