Dr. Parker is a clinical optometrist at Victoria Eye Center whose experience and expertise includes extensive medical mission work in such far-reaching areas as Kenya, Haiti and Nigeria.
After completing his Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry, Dr. Parker completed his Optometric Residency in Ocular Disease and Cataract & Refractive Surgery Co-Management at the Eye Center of Texas.
He is a former Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas, and was an Academic All American in the Southwest Conference while at Austin College. He has extensive training in ocular disease, cataract and refractive surgery co-management as well as primary eye care. He is a licensed Therapeutic and Optometric Specialist and is certified by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Drug Enforcement Agency in Controlled Substances.
His strong faith led him to become President of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes while in college. His hobbies include working out, mountain bike riding, playing guitar, and spending time with family.
