Aaron McGuire, O.D.
Aaron McGuire, OD, FAAO is a native Texan who was raised in the Lubbock area. Dr. McGuire attended Texas Tech University and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology.
After completing his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech Dr. McGuire enrolled in the University of Houston College of Optometry. In 2009 Dr. McGuire completed one externship at Northeastern State University/Oklahoma College of Optometry and another at La Nueva Casa De Amigos in Houston, TX. During his externships, Dr. McGuire gained extensive clinical knowledge in primary care optometry, ocular disease, and diabetes care.
After graduating from The University of Houston College of Optometry in 2010, Dr. McGuire remained in Houston at UHCO to complete his residency in ocular disease with an emphasis in glaucoma, uveitis, corneal disease, diabetes, and ocular trauma. To further his education and experience, Dr. McGuire also earned a Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2013 and is an active Academy member.
Dr. McGuire is an experienced therapeutic optometrist with a broad range of experience that includes dry eye, glaucoma, retinal diseases, diabetes, post operative management, and emergency eye care.
When not in the clinic, Dr. McGuire enjoys reading, cooking, entertaining and spending time with his dog.
