Zahraa Majeed, O.D.
Dr. Majeed grew up in Ontario, Canada. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with an honors specialization in genetics from Western University in London, Ontario. She furthered her education there with a post-degree diploma in clinical trials management.
After completing her Doctorate of Optometry, Summa Cum Laude, at the University of Houston, Dr. Majeed went on to complete a community clinic based residency with an emphasis in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses at the University of Houston College of Optometry. She decided to pursue a residency in family practice because she enjoys all aspects of optometry and believes that advancing her clinical knowledge through residency has allowed her to provide patients with the best possible care.
As an optometrist at Victoria Eye Center, her expertise includes fitting medically necessary contact lenses, glaucoma management, diabetic/hypertensive retinopathy monitoring, and co-management of post cataract and refractive surgeries. She is comfortable diagnosing and treating ocular diseases because of her training with retinal, glaucoma, and corneal specialists during her residency.
Dr. Majeed enjoys learning about nutrition and finding healthier alternatives to traditional recipes.
